Data and feeds
The indices are published as machine-readable data, free to use with attribution. 22 listed wine companies across 13 countries, with 29 more tracked but not indexed, and 46 dated calendar events.
JSON feed
Current level, constituents and cap weights for the flagship index, refreshed on the same schedule as the site.

Machine codes, not display names: the feed emits BCWINE rather than WINE, because WINE.L is Naked Wines on the London exchange and a constituent of this very index. Never key on a display name.
Embed and badge
A live index widget for a page, and an SVG badge for a README or a sidebar. Both carry an attribution link back to the index they display.
Terms
Free to use, including commercially, with attribution. Credit BoomCellar and link to the index page you are quoting.
Cite an index by its formal name on first mention — for example BoomCellar WINE Index — Global Wine Stock Index — and by its machine code thereafter. Levels are euro-denominated and based to 100 on 2026-07-03.
Prices come from public market data feeds and are typically delayed; market capitalisations are approximate and share counts are maintained by hand. The inclusion rule and the full exclusion record are published, so any figure here can be checked against the rule that produced it. Nothing on this site is investment advice.
For machines
/llms.txt — a plain-language summary of what this site publishes, for answer engines.
/sitemap.xml — every indexable page, with honest last-modified dates derived from the commit history of the file that supplies each page's content.
